Premium Competitions
Privacy & browser storage
Premium Competitions helps you weigh up prizes without asking you to open an account. The following guide explains what stays with your comparison and what reaches the website. The operator’s privacy contact is [email protected].
Your calculations, your device
| Activity | What happens to the information |
|---|---|
| Prize match quiz | Your choices are processed by the browser to suggest categories. The tool does not deliberately keep the answers after you leave. |
| Holiday extras calculator | Amounts are calculated locally, without sending your budget to the server or an AI service. |
| Prize comparison | Names, links, costs, deadlines and notes stay in the open form unless you choose to remember them. |
| Downloaded comparison | A file is created where you choose to save it. Removing the site’s browser data does not delete that file. |
Your browser may restore form fields through its own features. That is separate from a save made by our tools.
If you remember a comparison
“Remember these notes” writes the comparison fields to local storage, including any personal details you happen to type. Avoid entering sensitive information. There is no cross-device account copy, and another person using your browser profile might see the notes.
Ninety days after the last saved edit, the copy is due to expire. The comparison tool deletes it when next opened; it cannot remotely clear an unused browser at an exact moment. Unticking the remember option removes the saved version immediately when storage is available. “Clear everything” clears the form too. Browser site-data controls offer another way to remove it.
Readership measurement at a glance
| Question | Our arrangement |
|---|---|
| What is it for? | Deciding which guides deserve more attention, using page views, referral websites and approximate daily reader counts. |
| Which service? | Koko Analytics, running without analytics cookies on this website. |
| Where do reports go? | Into our own website database for a maximum of 24 months. They are not sent to Koko or Google Analytics. |
| Does it keep identifying details? | The analytics records do not store raw IP addresses or raw browser identifiers. A temporary one-way identifier, made with a secret replaced daily, supports the estimates; maintenance clears those daily identifiers. Hosting and security logs are separate. |
| Is it used for advertising profiles? | No. We do not use these reports to connect browsing across websites. |
You control participation. Disable measurement below, or use Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser. The button saves a setting in local browser storage for this domain only. Clearing that storage removes the setting; other browsers need their own choice.
Information that reaches our inbox or infrastructure
An email supplies the sender address, message and attachments to our email provider and the site operator. We use the exchange to answer a question, review a suggestion or correct a problem. We retain it while the matter and necessary follow-up remain relevant, or longer where a dispute or record-keeping duty requires it.
Page delivery and security involve technical records, including connection details, URLs and errors. Hosting and security suppliers handle these to keep the service working; administrators use WordPress login cookies. No public registration, public comments or advertising trackers are provided by this site.
Operating and securing the service, responding to readers and understanding aggregate readership are our legitimate interests. A required disclosure or retention duty may instead rest on a legal obligation. Optional comparison storage is used to deliver your chosen save function. Suppliers’ technical logs and backups have their own operational lifecycles. Ask the contact above about a particular recipient, retention arrangement or overseas processing.
Asking us to act on your information
You can seek access to information we hold, ask for inaccuracies to be fixed, request erasure or restriction, and exercise portability where it applies. You may object to our reliance on legitimate interests. Any consent-based use can be withdrawn for future processing. These are qualified rights, so we will explain if an exception applies. Complaints can be taken to the UK Information Commissioner.
We cannot retrieve or edit the comparison stored only on your device. Use its controls for that copy. An external organiser receives a visit when you follow its link, but not your comparison notes; its own notice governs anything you submit there.
