Using the tools
The prize match quiz, holiday extras calculator and prize comparison run in your browser. Their answers, amounts and notes are not submitted to our server or sent to an AI service. There is no visitor account to create.
The quiz and calculator do not deliberately save your answers after you leave the page. Your browser may independently restore form information as part of its own settings.
Optional saved comparisons
If you select “Remember these notes”, the comparison tool stores its form fields in this browser using local storage. This can include prize names, organiser links, estimated costs, closing dates, checks and anything you type in the notes.
The saved copy expires after 90 days from the latest saved edit. The tool checks that expiry and removes an expired copy when it is next opened; browser storage is not remotely erased at the instant the period ends. Unticking the option removes the saved copy immediately where browser storage is available. “Clear everything” also clears the form.
The saved copy is not shared across devices. Other people using this browser may be able to view it. You can also remove it through your browser’s site-data settings. A downloaded comparison is a separate file that remains on your device until you delete it.
Email and correspondence
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and anything you attach. We use that information to answer, investigate a reported issue or consider your suggestion. Our purpose is to handle correspondence and maintain the site, relying on our legitimate interests in doing so where applicable.
Messages are handled through the email service used for our contact address. We keep correspondence only for as long as it is needed for the enquiry, related follow-up or a relevant record-keeping obligation. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
Site operation and cookies
Our hosting and security services process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as connection information, requested pages and server errors. WordPress uses login cookies for authorised administrators. We do not offer public registration or comments.
The site does not add advertising trackers. Website statistics are described below. Essential site operation and the browser storage you request are separate from advertising.
Links to other websites
Links may take you to organisers, official guidance or Online Competition. Those websites have their own privacy notices and may use cookies or collect entry details. We do not submit your tool notes to them when you follow a link.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us about information held in correspondence and request access, correction or deletion, or raise an objection or restriction request where applicable. Some rights depend on the circumstances and the reason information is held. Contact us using the email above; if a request cannot be met, we will explain why.
You can also raise a concern with the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office. For information stored only in your browser or a downloaded file, use the tool or your device settings to remove it.

Website statistics and your choice
We use Koko Analytics to understand how this website is used and improve its content and tools. It counts page views, estimates daily visitors and records which websites send traffic. Statistics stay on this website’s server; they are not sent to Google Analytics or Koko Analytics.
We use the cookieless setting. To estimate visits within a day, the software derives a temporary one-way identifier from connection and browser information using a daily changing secret. It does not keep the raw IP address or browser identifier in its analytics records. Daily identifiers are cleared during scheduled maintenance. Separate hosting and security logs may exist. Aggregated statistics are retained for up to 24 months. These figures are estimates, rather than an exact count of people.
We use these statistics to improve this website, not for advertising profiles or tracking people across websites. You can switch statistics off below. This choice is saved in this browser on this website; clearing site data or changing browsers may reset it. We also honour browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
